Several technology blogs including zimbio and mirabuna have given us a glimpse at the new Kodak digital photo frames on display at recent consumer electronics shows including the 2009 PMA Conference. The Kodak EASYSHARE P730 and P735 are new Kodak LCD frames in the mold of other EASYSHARE frames, with 7-inch screens, 800 x 480 resolution, dark wood frames, and 512MB of internal memory (meaning you can store up to 4000 digital pictures depending on resolution).
Of course these frames have the standard quick touch border control, a key aspect to the Kodak EASYSHARE frames, which drives the features for the frame while keeping your fingers off the screen (somewhat like many ATMs). What is new on these frames are the 'display modes', which include normal slideshow mode (just pictures), clock mode which shows your pictures with an adjacent clock, a similar calendar mode with a calendar, and best of all a 'collage' mode, which auto-creates a multi-picture collage of photos on the frame. This is a unique feature and will surely be a hit.
These frames should be available sometime in the spring, so be on the lookout for them on our Kodak digital frame page!
