I'm a huge college football fan, and I attend games almost every weekend. In fact, I tailgate with the same group of friends each week at the same spot at the same school. So how pleasantly surprised was I to find a new tradition brought by someone in the group: bring a digital photo frame each Saturday with pictures from the previous week!
Our tailgate time is treasured, its a time for food, drinks, friends, and football. Usually the weather is beautiful and it makes me and my friends look forward to fall each year. We end up taking a lot of digital pictures and in the past they've been shared via email, or someone's Flickr or Picassa account.

Several digital frame news outlets and review sites have been intrigued by what is not even a product, but only a concept for a product by Mintpass. This site contains products that dream for "a better world", and their idea for a better digital frame includes one that integrates a digital camera. The idea being that this skips the whole concept of taking pictures on a digital camera and having to worry about the transfer process from camera to frame.

What makes digital frames so innovative is that you can constantly display fresh pictures, something impossible on a traditional frame, and wireless technology makes this even more possible. Wireless digital frames are also evolving into more than just picture frames, many now stream other types of media like news, weather, and anything else that can be sent via an RSS feed.
